Engaging Equity Series Campus Compact for Michigan/Great Plains is pleased to host a 7-part series on "Engaging Equity". Join your colleagues from across our regions as we work through the Annie E. Casey Foundation's Race Equity and Inclusion Action Guide. Each step in the process of advancing and embedding race equity and inclusion within your institution will be the basis for our weekly conversation. We will connect our work in this series to the work being done in our community/civic engagement spaces. Registration for this event is for the entire 7-week series. As the new director of Campus Compact for Michigan, I am using the 2018-2019 academic year to hold listening tours throughout Michigan. The concept of a listening tour is to learn about the different member campuses. Specifically, I want to gain a better understanding of the work you all are doing around community and civic engagement. The information gathered will inform future strategic plans. Proposed Topic Areas We may discuss the topic areas below. While we may not cover them all, I encourage you think about what is listed here. Community and civic engagement champions on your campus and in your community. Hallmark programs and partnerships. Assessment and reporting Recognition. Support. Campus priorities. Areas of growth. Interest hosting a regional listening tour. Role of Campus Compact for Michigan. Our host Grand Valley State University is serving as the host for this first meeting and is providing us a space to reconnect, listen, and talk.

Michigan Campus Compact (MiCC) is excited for our fall conference, "Partners in Change!" The conference will be held November 3-4, 2016 at the University of Michigan-Dearborn Fairlane Center in Dearborn, Michigan. This year's convening will blend two of MiCC's signature events, the Active Leaders Student Conference and Civic Engagement Institute, facilitating a dynamic exchange of energy, ideas and knowledge. The conference will feature a diverse set of workshop sessions, innovative and outstanding keynote speakers, and valuable deep learning opportunities.
