The M3C program did not receive funding from the Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS) for the 2011-12 program year. Wisconsin Campus Compact plans to pursue CNCS funding for 2012-13. Please check back later for more information.

M3C Program Description

The Midwest Campus Compact Citizen-Scholar (M3C) Fellows Program is a ten-state initiative led by the Wisconsin Campus Compact that is dedicated to implementing institutional change. The M3C Fellows Program is committed to integrating education with civic engagement among campuses across the Midwest. Campuses are selected to participate in the M3C Fellows Program based on a competitive application process.

Participation in the M3C Program gives institutions the chance to increase retention rates and provide much needed possibilities and resources for their students. Each participating campus will have the opportunity to make connections between their institution and the surrounding community, form meaningful connections with their students, and know that they are reaching far and above today's expectation of what higher education is supposed to offer students.

WHAT IS AN M3C FELLOW?
M3C fellows are students who are enrolled in our AmeriCorps Education Award Program. In our case "fellow" is synonymous with "member." Qualified M3C Fellows are low-income (as defined by the institution) and/or first-generation college students.

WHAT IS A CAMPUS FELLOWSHIP COORDINATOR (CFC)?
The Campus Fellowship Coordinator is the person who has assumed responsibility for the coordination and management of the M3C Fellows AmeriCorps Program at their participating campus. As a campus coordinator for the M3C Fellows Program you will implement a program that creates change by promoting civic engagement among college students using a cohort model.

WHAT IS THE STATE NETWORK OFFICE?
Campus Compact has an innovative organizational structure that includes both a national office and 30 state network offices. "State network office" means your Campus Compact state network office. Michigan Campus Compact’s state coordinator is Shannon Zoet, Assistant Director of Campus Partnerships.

WHAT IS THE REGIONAL OFFICE?
Wisconsin Campus Compact is coordinating the M3C Fellows AmeriCorps Program. "Regional office" refers to the staff responsible for the M3C Fellows AmeriCorps Program housed at Wisconsin Campus Compact (at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside in Kenosha, Wisconsin).
